A French club will offer free lunches to soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) at its headquarters in Gaza City.
According to a statement posted on the club’s Facebook page, the offer comes as Israel and the Palestinians prepare for a possible new round of fighting that could see the death toll increase dramatically in Gaza and the West Bank.
The statement says that the offer was accepted by the staff and members of the club, who are from the Gaza Strip.
The club will begin offering meals for the IDF soldiers next week, and will be open from Monday to Friday from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The club will provide the meals in exchange for a donation to the IDF.
It has been offering meals to the army since March and has hosted hundreds of soldiers since.
